(Edited Keeneland press release)

Robert C. Tanklage and Wesley Ward’s One Hot Wish, a 2-year-old filly who posted a world record time of :48.87 for 4 ½ furlongs in her career racing debut at Keeneland Thursday, will be offered during Keeneland's April juvenile auction Tuesday.

Bred by co-owner and trainer Wesley Ward, One Hot Wish is by Bring the Heat out of Wish for a Jeanne, by Roar. She will be listed as hip no. 227 and will be the first horse (Keeneland had previously announced that this horse would be last) to go through the sale ring. Eaton Sales will consign her for Ward and Tanklage.

“We rarely do an addendum to our catalogue, but she is such a unique individual that we felt we should," said Geoffrey Russell, Keeneland’s director of sales.

Russell said Tom VanMeter of Eaton Sales approached him Friday morning about the possibility of offering One Hot Wish in the April auction, and the details were worked out before noon.

One Hot Wish is in Barn 47 on the Keeneland backstretch.
