Horse of the Year Azeri and grade I winner Point Ashley each produced a filly May 10. Both mares reside at John Sikura’s Hill ‘n’ Dale Farms near Lexington.

Point Ashley’s filly is her first foal. Bred by Hill ‘n’ Dale Equine Holdings and Southern Equine Stables, the newborn is by Distorted Humor.

Point Ashley, who won the Del Mar Debutante Stakes (gr. I), is by Point Given out of the Slew o’ Gold mare Golden Thatch. She will be bred back to Distorted Humor.

Azeri’s filly, bred by Allen E. Paulson Living Trust, is by Giant’s Causeway. Azeri, 2002 Horse of the Year and a three-time champion older female, also is the dam of an A. P. Indy yearling colt. Azeri (Jade Hunter—Zodiac Miss, by Ahonoora) is booked to Ghostzapper.
