Swettenham Stud’s winning mare Wondrous Story, bought by Adrian Nicoll of BBA Ireland for 165,000 euros ($244,620), topped the second day of Goffs November breeding stock sale in Ireland Nov. 24. The 7-year-old mare by Royal Academy is a half-sister to group-winning filly Musicale. There were 282 horses cataloged , with 242 offered and 181 sold for 4,112,100 euros ($6,096,175) at an average of 22,719 euros ($33,681). The third and final day of selling mares and fillies takes place Nov. 25. There were two days last year, and direct comparison is not possible until the conclusion of the sale.
